ABREX 500 Plates are manufactured from high-strength abrasion-resistant steel with a distinctive chemical composition that includes carbon, manganese, chromium, and nickel, which offers superior hardness and toughness. These plates have a hardness of about 500 HBW, a tensile strength of 1350 to 1600 MPa, and a yield strength of about 1000 MPa. Controlled heat treatment and balanced alloying contribute to the ABREX 500 plates having superior impact toughness and weldability.
