Alloy Steel 4140 Foil is a chromium-molybdenum alloy that contains manganese, molybdenum (0.15–0.25%), chromium (0.80–1.10%), and carbon (0.38–0.43%). This alloy has good toughness, high fatigue resistance, and exceptional strength. The yield strength is approximately 415 MPa, while the tensile strength varies between 655 and 1080 MPa. It can be heat-treated for more hardness and still maintains good machinability. For precise applications, the foil form provides flexibility while maintaining structural integrity and providing resistance to high temperatures, wear, and impact.
