Carbon Steel EN 10216-4 pipes are made up of carbon, with small percentages of manganese, silicon, sulfur, and phosphorus. The composition is typically carbon (0.10-0.22%), manganese (0.30-0.60%), and silicon (0.10-0.35%). These pipes have excellent mechanical properties, such as tensile strength of 490-700 MPa, yield strength of minimum 205 MPa, and elongation of 22% (min). Pipes have good strength, toughness and wear and corrosion resistance, meaning that they will find applications even at high-pressure operations.
