Carbon Steel F60 Forged Fittings consist mainly of iron and carbon with the presence of added elements such as manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, and silicon for increased strength and functionality. These fittings have very good mechanical properties such as tensile strength of about 415 MPa and yield strength of about 240 MPa. They are also quite ductile and resistant to impact and, thus, can be used in demanding environments. The high carbon content enhances hardness and resistance to wear, without compromising too much on weldability and formability, and F60 can thus be produced as a sound material for demanding industrial applications.
