EN 19 Sheets and Plates are made from alloy steels that primarily consist of chromium, molybdenum, and manganese. Their chemical composition includes around 0.35–0.45% carbon, 0.70–1.00% manganese, 0.90–1.50% chromium, and 0.15–0.25% molybdenum, all of which contribute to their impressive strength and wear resistance. Mechanically, these materials boast high tensile strength (850–1000 MPa), excellent impact resistance, and good fatigue strength. They respond exceptionally well to heat treatments like quenching and tempering, which enhance their toughness, making them ideal for demanding mechanical applications.
