ASTM A350 LF1 low-temperature carbon steel flanges consist of carbon (≤0.30%), manganese (0.60–1.35%), phosphorus (≤0.035%), sulfur (≤0.040%), silicon (0.15–0.30%), nickel (≤0.40%), chromium (≤0.30%), molybdenum (≤0.12%), copper (≤0.40%), and vanadium (≤0.08%). They have a minimum tensile strength of 485 MPa, yield strength of 250 MPa, elongation of 22%, reduction of area of 30%, and maximum hardness of 197 HB. They are heat-treated to regulate their microstructure so that they perform best in low-temperature use.
